Misconceptions Regarding-Lithium-Ion Batteries Charging
Misconception-01:
1. In the past Lead Acid batteries were used in Mobile phones, and these need to be fully discharged before attempting to charge them to help maintain their effectiveness. However, the latest Smartphone batteries are based on Lithium-Ion technology and so can be recharged even when not yet fully discharged.
Misconception-02:
2. Please do not put your battery in the freezer. Exterior cases can be damaged due to the freezing and thawing process. Also, the battery will come into contact with moisture during the freeing process that can contaminate the battery and possibly lead to the battery becoming short-circuited.
Misconception-03:
3. The method used to charge the battery should not affect overall on its performance. however the time it takes to charge the battery may be different between different methods that can be used.
Misconception-04:
4. A temperature control device is equipped with lithium-ion batteries. Thus, charging automatically stops with the generation of heat over a certain temperature. This measure helps to prevent the battery from exploding.
