Design: Design is very important for a smartphone. Samsung Galaxy A5 has a metal constriction attractive body. A volume controller button located on the left side, Multifunctional Micro SD card slot, and SIM card slot located on the right side. Micro USB, microphone, and standard 3.5 mm jack are located on the bottom side. A secondary microphone located on the top side. This phone is only 6.7 mm thick. We liked its thickness.
Display: Samsung galaxy has a 5 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen which is very good. It is a 720P display with 294 PPI density. Viewing angle, color accuracy, and contrast is very impressive for a mid-range smartphone. Games, videos, and photos look very good. We enjoyed our test. Outdoor visibility was also impressive, the screen was readable direct in sunlight.
Network: This Samsung Galaxy A5 can receive both UMTS and GSM frequency without any problem. During our test network reception was very stable. We did not find any call drop and bad noise. Internet using HSPA+ and Wi-Fi both are very fast. This phone support dual SIM which is very continent. 1st SIM slot is for Nano-SIM and 2nd SIM slot is for either Micro-SIM or SD card. I prefer a nano-SIM. Both SIM is active simultaneously.
Processor and Memory: This phone has a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor which is a 64-bit version. This is a new 64-bit android phone. During our test we found lag-free smooth transaction. 2 GB ram is enough for most of the applications. Internal memory is 16 GB. We played a lot of 3D games without any lag.
Multimedia: Mp3, mp4. WMV, Mkv all formats can be playable by this smartphone. It has 13 Megapixel rear cameras with a flash and a 5-megapixel front face camera for selfie. Camera quality is very good but expert photographers may find it not very impressive. This phone can record 720p HD video without any problem. Speaker is located on the backside near the camera. Speaker is not very loud bur decent for normal listening.
Battery: Samsung Galaxy A5 has a 2300 mAh battery. Samsung could increase its capacity. This battery is non-removable. This phone is very thin maybe for its built-in battery. The battery is very important for today’s smartphones.
Conclusion: If your budget is 30,000 taka then don’t feel hesitant to buy this smartphone. I like its metal body constriction. This phone looks premium. Recently Samsung changing its boring design. I think the design is very important for a smartphone. Metal construction is my favorite style for smartphones.
