So the govt of Bangladesh has chalked out a program named. “Reduce Smartphone Addiction problem in Bangladesh” to get rid of the severe personal life and productivity.
Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission or BTRC released the latest figures that the number of mobile subscribers was a little over 140.7 million by the end of September this year against 120 million during the same period last year, marking an 18 percent growth. Grameenphone tops the chart boasting 63.8 million subscribers with the merged Airtel-Robi commanding 41.2 million subscribers. Banglalink is a distant third with 32.3 million subscribers while state-owned operator Teletalk is struggling with 3.24 million subscribers. The number of people with access to the internet has also grown by 18 percent in one year. Nearly 73.8 million people access the World Wide Web by mobile phones, making up 93 percent of the total users. Around 5.2 million subscribe to different Internet Service Providers and Public Switched Telephone Network to connect to the internet. The number of WiMAX users has increased to 90,000 over the same period. “The rise in the number of mobile phone and internet users indicate economic progress of the country,” said TIM Nurul Kabir, Secretary-General of the Association of Mobile Telecom Operators of Bangladesh, on Tuesday. Digital services in Bangladesh will flourish even more if the internet users are exempted from paying VAT, he suggested.
Bangladesh is an agricultural country. And most peoples of Bangladesh are poor and middle class. Her economy is under-developed and wholly dependent on agriculture. She has to spend a lot of foreign currency for importing smartphones and its stuff accessories purchases. Because As per Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission ( BTRC) released the latest figures in November 2017.
More than 140 million people of Bangladesh are using smartphones, out of Bangladesh's population of 160 million, use smartphones while around 80 million people access the internet. So the main object of “Reduce Smartphone Addiction Problem in Bangladesh ” is to foreign currency to reduce smartphone and smartphone accessories stuff to save the money and use local investment. So the program also aims at attaining self-sufficiency in all the fields of the economy of Bangladesh. With this aim in view the govt. has given top priority to misuse smartphone stuff and optimization our resources as well. It has given top priority to our manpower under the Reduce Smartphone Addiction problem in Bangladesh. it has been decided to boost our manpower productivity by fifteen percent which will solve, attention can be given to other fields of development. Our Govt. has taken various steps to Reduce Smartphone Addiction problem in Bangladesh a success.
Firstly, a committee has been formed to execute the program. Secondly, the ministry of the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission or BTRC is making arrangements to hold meetings, seminars, discussions, etc. to familiarize the people with the importance and objects of the program. Thirdly, the committee has made all necessary arrangements to give irrigation facilities mechanization of agriculture. For this purpose the govt. is importing power pumps, power tillers, and other essential things, fourthly fertilizers & goods quality seeds are made all available to every farmer through thana agriculture centers. Insecticides are also supplied by Government at a cheaper rate so that insects cannot destroy standing crops, moreover, different agricultural institutions of the country have taken exemplary farming projects to encourage the peasants.
